How are the fall colors where you live?

Recently, I spent several weeks in Miami Beach. In the tropical paradise, the seasons don’t change. The palm trees and other vegetation look the same all year around.

Now that I’m back in the Pacific Northwest, I’ve been working on photographing fall foliage. What I’m trying to do is beat the rain before it beats all the leaves off the trees.

It’s a challenge. The seven-day forecast predicts four rainy days, and the three remaining days are cloudy. So I’ll dash out when I see some sunshine.

Here are my best photos so far:

Enjoy the fall colors in your area. Winter’s coming soon.
