However, it really isn't "on the table" because President Obama and some members of Congress don't support it. People need to communicate with the President's Office and their Congress members to give it the consideration it deserves. Rita P.S. I'm also concerned about the proposal to cut Medicare and Medicaid to obtain the money for health-care reform. Those programs operate to minimally, I don't see how they can be cut. The health care industry has been spreading lies about single-payer health insurance forever. The fact is, this system of government provided health insurance has been very successful in Europe for decades. Remove huge profits from health care insurance and it becomes very efficient.
